Celebrate “Artists Sunday” in Laguna Beach on Sunday, December 1, 2024

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – Artists Sunday is a nationwide movement dedicated to supporting artists and recognizing the impact they have in enriching lives, community and the economy. On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Laguna Beach City Council joined the movement by proclaiming the first Sunday after Thanksgiving as Artists Sunday in Laguna Beach.
 
This year Artists Sunday falls on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Consumers are encouraged to shop with local artists, creators and performers. The Sawdust Art Festival invites the community to attend the Winter Fantasy to purchase unique original art works from many talented artists whose work deserves recognition and support.
 
“By celebrating Artists Sunday, we are proud to promote the vibrant art community that defines Laguna Beach,” says Laguna Beach Mayor Sue Kempf. “This day serves as a reminder of the positive impact artists have on both our economy and our quality of life here in Laguna Beach. I encourage everyone to visit the Sawdust Winter Fantasy and experience the talent of our local artists firsthand. Supporting our artists through this event enriches our community and keeps our creative spirit alive.”
 
The Sawdust Art Festival’s Winter Fantasy is open five, three-day weekends beginning November 22, through December 22, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., offering a festive gathering filled with music, performances, and holiday cheer. Explore the festival to discover unique, handcrafted art and gifts from over 180 local artists, with free admission on Fridays for Laguna Beach residents. Enjoy live music on three stages, art demonstrations, family activities, and local food, all while celebrating the season in a creative and welcoming atmosphere.
