Saturday, June 24 at the Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s Drive. At 5:30, guests are invited to enjoy a Tibetan meal prepared by Nawang Jungtuktsang of Cafe Zambala in Emeryville, California and Tenpa Dorjee of Tibet Handicrafts in Laguna Beach.
At 6 p.m., the four powerful female voices of Los Angeles Black a capella group VISION will perform a soul-stirring, hourlong concert.
VISION is the sultry vocal union of Sharetta, Leara (Measha), Shari, and Ashley, four young Black women who have been singing in and around Los Angeles since childhood. They will perform all genres of music, from soul and R&B to gospel and jazz, with a natural adeptness at elaborate harmonies and challenging arrangements.
Tickets to the dinner and performance are $35 per person.
