Who are the Ambassadors?

The Ambassadors are a group of members dedicated to helping new members get the most out of their membership.   Feel free to ask any of the Ambassadors for assistance and guidance on getting the best return on membership investment through attending events, serving on committees and networking with other members. The Ambassadors are a team of enthusiastic members who believe in creating productive working relationships, encouraging member involvement, and acting as a catalyst in the Chamber’s effort to produce a dynamic business climate within Laguna Beach.

The Ambassadors act as public relations and membership retention assistants for the Chamber. They are a group of business leaders who generously give their time to act as official Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce business boosters. They call on members throughout the year to remind them of the upcoming events, chamber meetings, and the work that the Chamber does to promote businesses and build a strong local economy. 

They act as official hosts of the Chamber at such functions as: mixers, networking events, membership receptions, and other events as called upon.  They also place monthly phone calls to new members in order help them get a complete understanding of what the Chamber has to offer.

Ambassadors help in the following areas as well:

• Welcome new members at the Chamber’s Membership Reception.

• Invite and accompany new Chamber members to Chamber functions.

• Contact first-year members to encourage participation through the Ambassador Program.

• Develop new memberships by referring business prospects to the Chamber.

• Act as the official hosts at Special Events, Networking Luncheons and Mixers.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee is to help members learn the benefits of Chamber membership and encourage their active participation in Chamber activities.

Duties/Responsibilities Of An Ambassador:

 1.      Act as a welcoming body for the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce.

 2.      Represent the Chamber by attending business mixers, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, groundbreakings and open houses at Chamber member companies (whenever possible).  Be part of a company's ribbon cutting, ground breaking and/or company expansion.  We bring our BIG pair of Chamber scissors, ribbon and camera plus two, three or more  Ambassadors to help our members celebrate these occasions. 

3.      This program offers a great benefit to members of the Ambassadors Committee by providing important business contacts and networking opportunities as well as exposure and high visibility in the Laguna Beach business community.

 4.      Implement one-on-one contact with new Chamber members to inform them of the Chamber's programs, services, activities and benefits and encourage their active participation.  This includes informing them of networking opportunities, committees and fundraisers.

 5.      Personally represent the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce in a professional manner at all times.  Attend mixers, breakfasts, functions and luncheons and assist where needed.  Procure gifts for mixer raffles.  Be highly visible at all Chamber events.
